SIZES AND PRICES

I offer three kinds of prints:

The old fashioned black & white hand made prints made in the darkroom

Two new ways of making high quality and exquisite prints: Giclée prints and Lambda prints.

Giclée prints and Lambda prints are both "the new kind of prints" that I have been using for some time for galleries, exhibitions etc. Thanks to the touch-up, adjustments etc. that can be made in the digital form, images that I can not make prints of in the darkroom can now be made. The results with both methods are astounding. These are for color as well as black & white.
Giclée prints - the superior form of ink jet prints

The original negative is scanned in high resolution on a state-of-the-art Imacon / Hasselblad scanner by me personally. The scanned image is touched up and adjusted by me. The image is printed with archival quality inks onto high quality photo-base paper.

The entire process is handled by me personally or under my supervision. Each print is approved by me.
Giclée prints (pronounced gheeclay) is of an astonishing quality. Numerous examples of Giclée prints can be found in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Chelsea Galleries.
Most of my images can be made in this way.

The actual image is normally surrounded by a white border.
These are the overall sizes:
A4 - 21x30 cm / 8x12 inch: US$ 80
A3+ - 33x48 cm / 13x19 inch: US$ 165
A2 - 42x60 cm / 16.5x23.5 inch: US$275
A1 - 60x84 cm / 23.5x33 inch: US$425

Lambda - Gallery Archival Quality Prints

This mode of making photographic prints combines elements of both traditional darkroom printing and digital technology. It represents the evolution of the photographic processes. The result is a superior archival photograph.

RC (resin coated base) photographic paper is used. The prints have archival value of 70 years according to the Wilhelm Institute.

The original negative is scanned in high resolution on a state-of-the-art Imacon / Hasselblad scanner by me personally. The scanned image is touched up and adjusted by me. Then exposed onto real photographic paper by a laser (you can say it's like using a digital negative).
Test print is approved by me before the final print is made at the best laboratory in Denmark.
Most of my images can be made in this way.

The actual image is normally surrounded by a white border.
These are the overall sizes:
A3 - 30x42 cm / 12x16.5 inch: US$320
A2 - 42x60 cm / 16.5x23.5 inch: US$450
A1 - 60x84 cm / 23.5x33 inch: US$695

Black & white hand made prints

The prints are hand made in the darkroom on real photographic paper, one at a time from the original negatives. This is the old fashioned way, with trays, chemicals, lots of test prints, getting your hands wet and all that. RC (resin coated base) photographic paper is used. The prints are made either by me personally or under my supervision.

You can still order hand made prints. However, hand made black & white prints are coming to an end - but they are still available.
Please note: far from all negatives are suitable for making hand made prints.

The actual image is normally surrounded by a white border.
These are the overall sizes:
18x24 cm / 7x9.5 inches: US$ 150.
24x30 cm / 9.5x12 inches: US$ 200.
